Listened to Mike Watkinson this morning on the radio and it was typical Mancunian Excuse after Excuse and then Denial. Always amazes me their attitude. They have completely borroxed up the pitch, jeopardised a home win, cost tens of thousands of paying fans an opportunity to see a near full days play Watkinson stated that that was secondary and the quality of the playing track should be the main topic of conversation. Having worked in the N/W for extended periods of time over the past 20 years they never ever amaze me with their 'Coronation Street' approach of lack of application and subsequent excuse laden denial.

Pathetic!

England 367 all out (or 9 declared depending on whether you count 'Broad retired hurt' as a wicket??)... first innings lead of 215.

Joe Root 77, Jos Buttler 70, Chris Woakes 26*

Now for the bowlers to force the pace of the game and take some early wickets!

Tea on day 3

33-1 trailing by 182.

Poor weather forecast for tomorrow... need a few wickets in the remaining 46 overs, to make any sort of a fist of winning this one.

As Sussex play Yorkshite next is it wrong of me to want Jordan to bowl some pies in this Innings so we get him back and the Tykes lose Plunkett?

Pujara does not look impressed.

And fair enough, it was a big stride. Must have been some doubt.

Hawkeye shows it was missing leg AND going over. You just have to laugh, don't you?

Not wrong, but I fear Finn is the next cab on the rank.

England Management will no doubt keep the same lineup if we win of course.

I suppose if Broad has more serious damage than a couple of black eyes he could be rested.

India could be done and dusted tonight so Big Bertha may not come into play.

Moeen Ali defying the 'part-time spinner' tag again... gets Rahane caught and bowled :clap2:

61-4 WOW

What a great spell for England since tea, just what we needed.

I wish Sussex had a part-time spinner as good as Ali!

Now 5 down, India do look a bit of a rabble in this match, Test Cricket not quite the same as the IPL is it boys?
