The only plus is that at least more people will get to watch it. On telly rather than live.

I know, and I'd argue that's not reasonable.

Not much difference between five and six weeks in the scheme of things.

I have sympathy with those who have already booked, of course - and hope they get reimbursed. But I bet most just ignored the prospect that it could be moved with five weeks' notice.

The thing is we did book it to cover all 3 possible Saturday kick off times. But there is still a danger, as has happened that it can get moved to another day.

Twice this season now that we have booked trains and the day of the game has changed.

Still at least Boro will kick off at 1230.

Yeah, pants I know. 10-12 matches is too many.

That said, can understand Sky wanting to show relevant matches, which the neutral might be interested in, at the business end of the season.

No-one is going to watch Bristol City v Brentford...

Did you know about the 5 weeks thing? I didn't until I did my research earlier!

That said, there is the gamble that if you book before TV games are announced - and we all have easy access to that information - then you could end up scuppered.

We might not like the game, but we all know that particular rule of the game.

To be honest, no, but I did know it's shorter notice at the end of the season.

Indeed.

I was asked if I wanted a train ticket to Forest and I said "no" as I simply can't go that weekend. I'll admit it never crossed my mind that the TV game(s) for that weekend had not been announced.

Might have to get used to it, IF we go up..

Hmmm... not really. In the Premier League, there are just six or so big clubs.

We'd fall in the "contractual obligation" category, like Bournemouth this season.

You can't surely be blaming Brighton for this? This is the usual connivance between Sky and the Football League.

Of course it's the FL & Sky, and to be fair, if it wasn't for the Sky & BT Sport money there wouldn't a shiny new Amex, or possibly a BHAFC

It's hardly Brighton's fault, is it?

No, it's not, just annoying that a normal great Saturday fixture is ruined

It was my birthday. It isn't now :( And we've not had a game on my birthday for years.

The irony for me is they have actually moved the Reading game to my birthday.
