If only (him and Locadia)! Still, we lost an arm and a leg getting rid of Jahanbakhsh on the summer - guess we couldn't afford to bin them all off at once!

He was on the bench vs Burnley. Not sure if being a non-playing sub counts towards his maximum 2 clubs in a season limit.

I don't think it will and confusingly I am not sure if the maximum 2 club rule still applies? Viktor Gyokeres played for us in the League Cup last season before he joined Swansea on loan, we then terminated his Swansea loan in January and he subsequently moved to Coventry on loan for the rest of the season (of course there could have been special rules in place for last season due to the late start etc).

EDIT - Indeed FIFA did allow 3 clubs last season as a special one off.

I still don't think non playing appearances on the bench count towards the 2 clubs in a season rule, in the same way a player is not cup tied just by being named as a sub in a cup game.

Pretty sure there is no "loan to buy agreement" for Andone, considering his injury history.

Dan Ashworth stated it was an option in an interview with The Athletic.

Florin Andone (Cadiz), Michal Karbownik (Olympiacos) and Jayson Molumby (West Brom) are all loans with an option to buy for the other club?

We don’t really want to do buy options. Sometimes you lose clubs because of that. Sometimes your hand is forced a little bit, because it’s the only way of getting them out on loan.

We don’t like them because if they do really well, they go. If it doesn’t work well, then the price is reduced.

The majority of our loans are to get players ready for Brighton, not loan to sell.

Florin is different, an experienced player. Michal (aged 20) desperately wanted to go to Olympiacos. We didn’t really want a buy option. Sometimes it’s a bit of give and take.

He’s getting an opportunity to play in European football (Europa League) with a team competing at the top of the (Greek) league.

The key word here is "option".

Sometimes clubs sign loans with agreements to buy at the end of the deal, and sometimes with the option to buy. I think in Andones case the latter is most likely.
