Good find Adolf!
I don't think I've ever found porn by accident
I don't think I've ever found porn by accident, and I've been on-line for nearly 17 years. I shall certainly be opting in, but surely it would be difficult (1) to agree a definition of "porn", (2) to accurately index which web sites/pages meet that definition (and which don't).
you really havent been using the internet very hard then... though seriously you're right in respect to the sort of uberhardcore/illegal stuff the focus of this. the problem is that (1) is is difficult to agree a definition. (2) is already in place for the illegal and applied by the major search engines and ISPs. so this current policy adresses one issue that is already being looked at (child/illegal image) while making a complete hash of another issue that will be better served by education of parents and children alike.
Will the Tories also ban people from thinking non-consensual thoughts while they jerk off while watching Rachel Riley on Countdown? How will they regulate this?
NSC would go into meltdown if it happened!
Once the technology is in place, it'd be a short step to regulating political thought...
(2) It's easy for new sites to appear that won't be on any blacklists, and just as easy to move nor remove them. It's a moving target, and not a full solution.
Rachel has already been ordered to change here attire due to alleged complaints .
How long before she has to appear in a hijab
