I hardly think thats the case with everyone though. People like oxfam and the red cross went in there to HELP people. Granted they knew the risk, but this doesnt stop them from doing what they think is right, and concentrating on the majority of the Iraqi people who actually want help.

I certainly wont watch the beheading, thats what the animals that did this want us to do, they want us to react to it.

Also someone made a comment that this is the worst thing that is happening in the world today. I would have to totally disagree. Think of Burma, where they live in a dictatorship much the same as Iraq had been (for info on this see www.mtvburmaaction.com) , where the woman who had democratically won the vote is kept under house arrest. Think of Sudan, where MILLIONS of people have had to drop and leave everything, so that they can get away from civillian war. Everything including water, food, shelter. I find it incredible on here with people moaning about the price of petrol / how the mail industry is doing so badly etc when people dont get ANY water, let alone a car!

As terrible as it is that people are getting barbarically killed like this is terrible, the only reason they are on the news is because they are Westeners. Tens (even hundreds) of people are getting killed in Africa like this every day, but we dont see that.

Then, once the reading has finished, they all grab hold of him and hack of his head completely with a knife while he's struggling and screaming (takes about 30 seconds), then they place the head on his corpse, face pointed towards the camera, drained of blood and eyes closed.

If I watched it I would probably flip out, it would keep me awake for days on end.

You're right though, it is a truly horrid thing to witness. Through my last job i saw some truly horrific things and it's only a year or so later that i have stopped flinching so much at the bits and pieces that flash in my mind occasionally, so i'd recommend that people leave certain scenes well alone.

And yes i have watched it as i have with many things that are morally wrong and yes it did churn my stomach but I wanted to try and get an understanding as to their reasons why not because I am a ghoul.
