Fans Forum - Thursday

If we really are aiming for midtable mediocrity this season, maybe someone should suggest going into voluntary administration to clear the debts

I hear that Mr Knight 'may' have to answer some very awkward questions about the Blooms and the subsequent lies that were printed in the Argus.

It could be a very intersesing night.

I can tell you what he said about that on Tuesday night if you like?

I predict the opposite. We'll announce a new signing on Thursday to try & nullify the impending critisism.
I don't think so - we have our team for the first game now - alas.

If that is to say: "It's ok if we're 23rd at Christmas, Mark, as long as we're operating in the black." then may I suggest we resign from the football league for the season and wait until next year and join League 2?

Football is all about doing what you can on your budget and as I've said elsewhere, I refuse to accept we're in a worse position than a lot of other clubs in League 1.

We're not in a worse position than many clubs in League 1 - but we're not among the group of clubs who have the money to confidently chase promotion either.

Talk of 23rd place is risible.

More great advice from young businessman of the year here.

So...the issue is can we finish above mid-table regardless of who is manager, do we have funds to buy players or get them on loan, who actually owns the club at the moment, do the loans made by the Blooms mean that if they convert them into shares they as a family can control the club, how many of the board members have read "The Prince" in the original Italian ?

Good point.

Ask McGhee if it's better to be loved or feared? :)

Interesting to note that Dwane has not answered either Triggers or LI question, "ARE YOU GOING TO ATTEND" ?

I can honestly say, that if i had not just undergone a major operation on my back, which renders me pretty much housebound at the moment, i would DEFINATLY ATTEND tomorrow night, albeit i live in wales, im sad that i cant go  if for no other reason than to see who turns up from here !!! :lolol: :lolol:

(I am trusting you will keep me up to date on everything Trigg  and obviously there is a Jack Danials & Coke waiting for you at the first away game i can attend mate :drink: )

That sums it up nicely!

Think we have some funds for players but "Turienzo" paranoia has set in, we are setting the bar for player quality so high now to avoid mistakes that, guess what, all these no-risk players we identify we either can't afford, won't be released by their clubs or they won't come to us - and so we sign no one. Nasty catch 22.
