The problem is you get a nice lively Resort and then they stick it on TV a with a few tarts flashing their bits, Suddenly every low life is booking to go there.

Totally agree with Goring. Club Reps is an irresponsible programme and should never have been made.

I'd like to think that it will ultimately destroy Club 18-30, too, as it has shown how much they exploit their young impressionable staff. They are an absolute disgrace to our country to rival football hooligans and tabloid journalists.

Phew. Glad I got that off my chest!!

I think Ibiza is getting better again as they are sorting out the image, Aiya Napa (spelling) has had similar probs but i think , but maybe wrong they are making places close early etc to keep a lid on it.

Went to Magaluf when i was 17 on and 18-30s holiday about 9 years ago it was ok but talk about overated.

I am going to Magaluf on saturday. It is allocation on arrival. However, I have a friend who works at the company and told me the resort. Not my first choice, but please be aware that not all people who go to these resorts are tarts and idiots. I am neither. I like a sunny hot place, a few bars and a giggle. That's it. I don't go in for stupid party games, getting slaughtered and sleeping around. That is not my idea of a good holiday.

No i agree Magaluf i thought was ok would've been even better had i not been on an 18-30's holiday getting pestered by the reps every morning to sign up for some shite day of "fun" we just walked straight out the welcome meeting when they wanted about £200 quid just to take you round a few bars each night.

Having said that there are plenty of bars etc and far more resorts on TV that will attract the real tossers so you will have a good time.

I would never go through the pain of visiting a place packed with pissed english people, the main reason why you go on holiday IMHO is to get away from them.
All my next holidays are going to be devoted to doing something you can't do in England eg Snowboarding (bigfatbuddha, you still up for that?). I think i might even think about saving up over a couple of years for a big holiday to Australia or somewhere, it is much more worth while spanking money on something like that than pissing money up the wall in shit bars that serve you really strong squash and pretend its got loads of booze in it.

f*** 18-30, its for northern monkeys who know dick all about anything.

I like the best of both worlds, cultural holidays sometimes, shagging fat northerners holidays sometimes. Its all gravy.

I had to endour 2 weeks in Kavos this summer, what a pig-sty dive it really is. We had booked to go to Crete again (Fantastic place) but loads of people dropped out, so we ended up in Kavos on a late deal.

Kavos is one huge road of bars & clubs and a pretty average beach. That is it.

The bars were shite as well, they all played the same music, wich was crap. It wasnt even that cheap, plus they were frequented by 17 year old 'lads' and fat ugly Northern tarts. Never, ever again

On my recent trip to Ibiza I was delighted with what I found on the Eastern side of the island. Ibiza town is beautiful and still very traditional and the English are definately in the minority in what is generally a very clued up and cosmopolitan crowd.

Only went to San An one night to do the sunset at Cafe del Mar and that part seemed ok, got out of town before the mass of 18-30 gangs were visible though the San An itself has to be desrcibed as a dump compared to Ibiza Town.

A few mates of mine went to Falirake back in 978 and had a great time but then it wasn't so in your face or had the TV treatment everyone who was there having a few drinks and a laugh and no tossers. Amazing how things change after a tv programme, to be honest how many young lads, etc had heard of Faliraki back in 98....Exactly.

One place i would reccomemnd if you want a lively holiday with out all the tossers, Is Malta ok normally frequented by the Oaps but if you stay in St Julians Bay, it's a five minute wander from Paceville which is full of bars, clubs varied musical genres etc good mix of nationalities i'e Malteese, Italian, Swedish, Norwiegen, Germans, Brits but none in too large a number to be a pronblem everyone gets on , gets drunk and has a laugh.

Ah Kavos - some mates and I made the mistake of asking for a "lively" resort in our youth (a few years back) - they put us up above a taverna where it was impossible to sleep before 5-6am, not only because of the gangs of Newcastle fans marching around but also the incessant videos of old comedy programmes at every bar. Try hearing that plodding piano intro to the theme from Only Fools and Horses 30-40 times a day without wanted to strangle someone.
:shootself

The bog-standard supermarket over the road had a selection of what I can only describe as watersports videos on open display at the till, which was enough to put you off your apple juice in the morning.

Can't blame the locals for wanting to redress the "enormous income" v "desecration of towns" balance a bit these days, to be honest.

Yes, yes and its still the same MOH. Only fools and horses all day long with the occasional pirate DVD wich are such poor quality. I think I know what supermarket you mean the largish on the corner at the beginning of the main drag.
Where you can find animal porn videos inbetween your breakfast cereals and marigold gloves.
