I am going to Magaluf on saturday. It is allocation on arrival. However, I have a friend who works at the company and told me the resort. Not my first choice, but please be aware that not all people who go to these resorts are tarts and idiots. I am neither. I like a sunny hot place, a few bars and a giggle. That's it. I don't go in for stupid party games, getting slaughtered and sleeping around. That is not my idea of a good holiday.

Have a nice trip. I look forward to seeing you on Sky One "Magaluf Uncovered" in a couple of months; you'll be the one dancing on a table in your birthday suit waving an Albion top around your head...

There's loads of ladies around here in Kensington and Chelsea (ask James Hewitt), but I feel magaluf may well be just slightly below them!!!!

Not what most people would call ladies, anyway! You've got to take what you can get...

I agree, if you're looking for a discreet, laid-back, low profile week in the sun then Magaluf is the place to go. I hope you have a relaxing, restful time.

Exactly berkshire, horses for courses, you pay your money and take your choice. can't say the thought of going to Faliraki does much for me personally but there you go.

Returned from my hols last week, spent two days travelling across Malaysian Borneo followed by a long weekend in Singapore, have to say it was all pretty amazing and not a loutish Brit in sight!!!

Megaluff laid back?

It was the original 18-30 resort.

I had a crap time there. Crap bars, over priced, full of knobs.

Other dreadfull places I have had the misfortune to spend some time at include Torreminlos,

Malta - god what a barren hell hole, full of rip off merchants,

I went to Faliriki for the 1996 European Championship,

Sheer class, imagine seeing England beat Holland 4-0 and in the sun, you should had seen the party the main street was closed for signing for hours.

It was great then.

Top places I would recommend include:

Rhodes Town, Rhodes
Kardemena, Kos,
Puerta del Carmen, Lanzagrotty,
Brighton, England,
Someplace in Crete around a deep harbour,
Cyprus is cool especially in the Troodos mountains, with snow on the ground and baking sun.

Ibiza brillient this year. Priced out the prats. Just leave the west End of San An alone and youve got a beautiful island full of the beautiful people ( apart from the Scottish bird my mate shagged)with the greatest club nights in the world. hats off to The Le Bons for not VIPing it up in Pacha. Saw that bird from Hollyoaks off her tits in Space an all. Brandon Block - unbelievably drunk.

1 week - 20-odd hours sleep, out every night /day clubbing, saw no trouble, no real british ignorance, cosmopolitan, friendly people
, spent too much money but well worth it.

It's not really a question of quiet or noisy places.

It's more about the loutish behaviour (male and female) of Brits abroad who roam all over resorts. They are a major embarrassment to our country. Why do Brits think that appalling behaviour is acceptable simply because it is in a foreign country? You don't get hoardes of Germans, French, Swedes, Italians, etc roaming the streets of Britain, pissed out of their heads every night during the summer insulting local people and throwing up everywhere so why do our idiots think it's ok in a foreign resort? :censored: :tosser:

Getting pissed, barfing everywhere, insulting locals and flashing your bits is another Brit disease that needs eradicating.
