He wont get in the side !

I think is the correct answer unless Iniesta plays on the left of a front 3 (Messi - Villa - Iniesta) no way Barca will go into games without a defensive midfielder even if it is Busquets. If Abidal goes then they need a left back as well

There's not much point in standing in Cesc Fabregas' way if he wants to leave. It's sickening but he hasn't played as well this season as the media make out. Alex Song has been immense and the Gunners player of the season imo.

As for his replacement, it'll probably be Mikel Arteta.

Will be a shame to see him leave the English game because the guy is awesome.

It has been on the cards for the last couple of years.

I have a lot of time for Wenger but he has certainly dropped a bollock with his signings of late. He stubborness in refusing to pay big money for what Arsenal obviously need, i.e, a couple of hard men has cost them dearly.

There is clearly no sign that Arsenal will be competing for the main prizes, with the sqaud they have, and you can understand his reluctance to hang around.

I reckon he'll stay for another season and perhaps have a little deal struck with a return to Barca after one last hurrah at the Emirates. He'll be loyal to Wenger, i think, despite his wish to be in a domineering, but beautiful side, and will allow them a season to prepare properly.
You can sometimes see that mixture in him of burning ambition and biting disappointment in some of the men he calls friends and colleagues as he labours occassionally fruitlessly around the lumpy fields of British soccer.

Think i'd spend the rest on improving that back line.. Valdes isnt the best keeper available and improvement to the Puyol/an other central partnering would be a wiser use of funds

and Valdes has just won best keeper (or one who let in least) in the La Liga once again so think they will stick with him. Need cover for Alves and possibly a left back centre back is very strong

Nothing wrong with Pique.

Villa will score hundreds of goals in that Barca team. He practically never misses.

I think if they did sell him it could be a good move for Arsenal if Wenger spends the money correctly.

Surely Wenger can use one of many Barcelona's amazing fringe players as a makeweight. Yaya Toure has been mentioned, but Wenger must be able to pick some, maybe the next Fabregas. He done well to pick Fabregas out as a player to sign, so whats to say he couldnt do it again.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
If they can get Yaya Toure in the deal that would be a good start, he wont want to stay with Fabregas arriving and is ideal for Arsenal.

Buy a keeper and another centre half with the money it could be good news for Arsenal in the long run.

Chamahk is already a done deal and will be good for them.

What? To play in a league that is even more uncompetative than Scotland? Valencia 3rd but almost 30 points adrift! And now Barca will be even stronger! All a bit pointless isn't it? Wow, look at me, I won the Spanish league in the best team ever assembled, what an achievement! Bet Barca could win the Spanish league even if they played me in the team week, in week out! But obviously he's not moving there for the huge addditional pay packet!

And Barcelona is overrated as a city!

Barca getting Villa will make it even more likely Fabregas will leave.

Re Arsenal next season, I can't see how they will replace Fabregas with equal quality. And if Fabregas leaves it's arguably the case that Spurs have a better squad than Arsenal right now.

I don't see that Wenger has any choice other than to splash the cash. Spurs will buy big, so will City. Without a significant cash injection I can't see Arsenal challenging Chelsea or Utd in the League, or those 2 plus Real/Barca/Inter/Bayern for Champions League.

Given that Wenger doesn't put out a decent side in the League Cup he might only have the FA cup to play for.
