Sunderland was always written in the stars! :ascarf:

I can see this happening!

That's actually a very interesting draw. Potential Merseyside derby, possible Sheffield derby, repeat of last year's final...and then possibly Poyet returning to his old club if we beat Hull.

I'd have much preferred one of the Championship clubs personally. After all, should we get through, we'll be playing for a place at Wembley so the easiest route possible would have been good.

But it's not a bad consolation. Just hope we don't make too many changes tomorrow.

In around 30 hours we may have crashed out of the cup anyway.

No point in thinking about the 6th round unless we beat Hull.

Brilliant hope we beat hull and I would imagine Brighton vs Sunderland would be a sell out.

Two very tough, but winnable games and then we're at Wembley....... Beat Forest in semi, then we're in Europe as Man City in Champions League.

Oh, I've just seen a flying pig.

If we beat Hull the Sunderland game will surely be a full house? On TV too I would expect.

On the downside that game will be ALL about Poyet which of course he will lap up.

Some of these responses are the play off semi-final part II, can we at least slow down and show Hull some respect before assuming Poyet will be coming back with Sunderland?
