I had my rucksack searched at the entrance to the Family Stand on Saturday. I was with my two daughters aged 7 & 4. I am not exactly hooligan material.
The steward went through my bag which included a full metal 1 litre bottle of water and a camera but he picked out the bottle of suncream for questioning!!! On a boiling hot day like that!!!
My daughters would have burnt badly if he had taken it away. Fortunately he saw sense once he checked with his boss and let the offending article in.

can't argue cos i don't do prem grounds, but i'd be surprised if prem grounds allow you to buy cans and let you drink from them whilst watching the match

My son, a rugged hard drinking, tattoed, skinhead of 11, had his free Albion goody bag searched at the entrance to the family stand. They removed the long range missle launcher he'd sneaked inside to fire at the opposition fans.
