Waasn't having a pop at anyone in particular, last time I booed the team was in 4-1 defeat at Barnsley in League Cup 1981. Palace last year left me incapable of speech, walked out at half time, have never walked out before.

NSC shows that we have some fantastic fans, but the Albion are going to have plenty more 4-0 defeats during the time we watch them, so lets move on. The positive from the game is that DK now knows that the managerial position must be sorted quickly, suspect that rules out Dowie, so Cotterill in charge Saturday methinks.

I dont mind a 4-0 defeat if the effort, passion & pride is there but last night i didn't witness any of them...

My point exactly. Got no problem with defeat. It's when they go down without so much as a whimper that I lose it.

Biscuit turned to me last night when I was booing at the end and said "come on, they're playing for the Albion". I replied "well they want to f***ing look like it then". I could see his point but sometimes they need telling. Hopefully Booker will have done the same.

The 'work analogy' seems to apply, but for those that cringe about it, consider you pay to see a film that is absolute dross - you can moan and ask to get your money back (don't wait til the end though). If you went to any form of entertainment in ancient Rome and saw the gladiators tossing off instead of slicing up a few Christians, you'd be peed off . If you go to see a band play and they can't be bothered or they play like shit, then they stand to get booed as well.

It's a spectator sport, the players know that there are thousands watching, and they certainly benefit from the cheers when they do well, so .......

They will be big boys only if they show up and make an effort in the next games. They are only as good as their last game, that's the profession, and that's the way it goes.

It still is bad times folks. No ground or prospect of one for at least 3 years, no money, no manager, no scouting network, and a bunch of fickle fans.

and on the evidence of tuesday night, about two players who give a toss
