Am I being foolish, does it really matter where our scout lives? As long as he can contact Paul Winstanley and Chris then surely that's all that is needed?
Had thoughts along those lines too. I imagined a scout's job would take him all over the country/Europe/the world, and I wouldn't have thought he'd have spent much of his time at his 'home' ground - so it wouldn't really make a lot of difference where he actually lived, or where the 'home' ground was.

I'd imagine Chief Scout is essentially an aggregator between the scouts and Paul Winstanley & Chris Hughton so probably does need to be based at the training ground regularly.

Give it time,When CH realises Bloom and Barbers lack of ambition and penny pinching He'll be on his toes sharpish.

Blimey. I know. You'd think he'd have worked it out by now. And Bloom coughing up an all new 4 year ,expensive ££££ contract for CH (which he madly signed) was surely the latest in a long line of pretty obvious signs that the club have run out of money and ambition.

You're having a laugh ? aren't you ? Aren't you ?

I've heard that CH is relaxed because he read's BG's posts on NSC and therefore doesn't feel the need for a chief scout.

Can't see it will affect summer recruitment, the scouting will have been done.

Could be any number of reasons for this. Looking at him he's hardly a spring chicken and seeing that he's taken the role of 'football consultant' maybe he's taking a step backwards from what I presume must have been a hectic role as Chief Scout.
