Why is this a problem? Trevor Sinclair done a great job in the world cup, but he's been fogotten about since.

Then youve got Ashley Cole whos far better going forward than defending, with Wayne Bridge in behind at left back.

But the reason for this post is really to highlight the fact that the solution is staring Sven in the face: i give you Gareth Barry. It s not like hes unknown, he captains the under 21s for fricks sake.

so why oh why the myopia in missing him game after game for the senior squad?

He did pick him in the summer for the games against Serbia, South Africa and Solvakia. However he is better than some of the dross used on the left.

I think Owen Hargreaves is underated . . .lets face it, he's playing for a top European club, he works hard, he can tackle (without winping out or getting booked) and hes not been tainted by the premiershyte.
