What a great achievement for Jimmy Anderson. First man to do it for England since the era of Willis and Botham, then maybe Swann in a couple of years.

Well, things are moving on... England have lost two wickets this morning, Finn and Bell.

It is down to Swann and Broad to push England somewhere close to 250 lead... which may still not be enough.

All four results are still possible.

England 200-8 (leading by 225).

It may have started slowly but has turned into a fascinating test match. England have really put themselves in trouble with the batting collapse but our bowling attack is still capable of defending that total, especially with all three innings so far having had collapses.

England have been sleepwalking ever since they won the series in India. It's as though they know Australia are on the horizon and want to get on with playing them, and New Zealand are an inconvenience to them in between. New Zealand have been belligerent just as they were in the series down there and the overhead conditions have made batting difficult, but England haven't helped themselves. The way they batted in the first innings was so negative, like taking us back in a time warp to the Chris Tavare era. The batting line-up seems to have a mixture of plodders and batsmen that inexplicably throw their wicket away when they appear set. England need to wake up because although Australia are nothing to write home about, their bowling attack is better than New Zealand's.
