Lack of technique, skill and composure will always hold England back until we revolutionise our youth coaching.

We are what we are an above average international side that will everynow and then get to a quater or semi final nothing more.

Well done Roy, you got them together and deciplined. Don't blame the manager blame the coaching at youth level.

The FA are happy to print money in the premier league they need to invest in youth football properly.

We did about the best we could, I feel for Ashley Cole, did he ask to take a penalty or was he selected to take one ?

Ashley Cole has (had) a very good penalty conversion rate, that's the first he's missed I reckon.

Ashley Young is shit.

not good enough or ready, had a shocking tournamount, not going to critisise just because we lost but think the tactics have to change, this park the bus is not the way forward and we wont win anything playing like this

We were really poor. I don't think it's an excuse to say Hodgson hasn't got the players - a lot of them badly underperfomed. Italy can bring on a West Ham reject and he still looks better than most of our players!

I do think we would have done better under 'arry.

well, england now has something it has lacked for a while, a rock-solid defence. Hodgeson's england hasnt been beaten in 90 (even 120) minutes of football yet.

We can work from there and revolutionise our attacking play. today we panicked in possession, attempted to take on every player instead of passing the ball and fluffed up simple things.

We continue to be an utter embarrassment on the European stage with our hoofball shit. We've learnt nothing in forty plus years, absolutely nothing. Most of the rest of the footballing world has long since moved on, we're still footballing dinosaurs.

If Italy had had their shooting boots on, we would have lost 4-0.

The whole tournament has shown we are the dinosaurs of European football, set out to destroy and hopefully get lucky. I think every other country has approached games, certainly in the group stages, with a view to winning.

Gus is right, he's been in England about 15 years and our international team has learned nothing.

What England need is to watch some of our games, understand that if, if you pass the f***ing thing from the back instead playing f***ing hoofball all the time then maybe just maybe you will not be absolutely knackered from chasing the game. All of those players are supposedly high class players from one of the best leagues in the World but are unable to pass to each other. We will never compete until we have a tactical change.

From the beginning of the tournament we have looked like a non-league team having the run of our lives against top league teams in the cup. As we all know eventually the pressure tells.

Don't forget England's 12th man - the right goalpost.
