Somebody should have stopped her before she got in the habit.
If you really don't understand why a white person "blacking up" is a sensitive issue then you really must be a bit dim. Was it racist? Most probably not but the whole concept of black face is steeped in racial prejudice thus it being a sensitive issue.
Total nonsense.
Why is it? Donning black face has a history steeped in racism so why is it "nonsense" that people in the modern day find it offensive or believe it to be a sensitive subject?

OR.
Making yourself look more like somebody by painting your face isn't offensive in the slightest and everybody should just calm down and stop getting offended by things which are not even remotely offensive in the slightest.
Yes because I clearly said that anyone who dons black face is a nazi.
How dare you see the other side of the argument. I'm sure they've spoken to ( or imagined) a black person who doesn't have a problem with it . You're obviously some sort pinko PC fascist killjoy.

I think the only credible answer to this STUPID comment is
BOLLO6KS
For heaven sakes ones black one white, shall we just pretend ?.
I'm white, would I care if Lenny Henry put on white make up in an attempt to be me at a fancy dress (though heaven on earth knows why he would!).? Of course I wouldn't
I went to a fancy dress party and the theme was "When I grow up, I want to be..."
A group of us went as Peruvian Traveling Musicians (I know, what cards!).
The rather dark fake tan didn't come off for a couple of weeks. I don't remember being accosted by anyone for being outrageously racist. Outrageously silly, but not racist.
