Can't really argue with those four Palace players being in. We always say we want to the manager picking players on form rather than reputation or club.

Wharton particularly looks like a generational talent.
It's cetainly some turn around for Palace over the past few months.

Tend to agree. Eze is a really good player, Wharton looks very talented, Guehi is a player Southgate trusts and Henderson is a useful non-playing keeper.

Besides, pops them all in the shop window for the summer, eh?

It seems like LD will miss out. A shame his form dipped at the wrong time.

Feels a bit soon for Branthwaite and Quansah though. I feel like LD should go, albeit as cover.

It's definitely best for the Albion if Dunk doesn't go, but it is a shame for him.

Or is it? Unless he is actually going to play, he'd probably rather an extended family holiday in the sunshine. I know I would.

I thought possibly Olise might have his head turned, since he hasn't declared for France AFAIK. Wonder if we asked? I guess a lot of competition in that area of the pitch.

They’ve been in better form than Dunk with a substantially higher upside so seems right they are in. Really doesn’t make much sense to take Dunk now to be honest - even as a cover option.

With Dunk’s injury & our dip in form I’d understand him not being picked, & probably for the best. A summer of rest to reset is much more what he needs that heading to the euros just after an injury to be scrutinised by the nation if he plays.

The only case for him going is that he has squad experience. But I agree with you. At least he had a go other than his Rooney sympathy cap.

Branthwaite has been one of the best defenders in the league this season, he is an outstanding young player and will be making a big move soon. Deserves to be there ahead of Dunk in all honesty - I'd actually start him alongside Stones he's that good.

Agree more about Quansah though. Think he's been elevated a bit too quickly.

Feel sorry for Dunky. When he was at his peak he never got a look in. Now he's older and (possibly) showing some cracks, he's been considered. I fear his England chances are over now, with plenty of younger talent coming through.

I can't see Dunky coping with some of those forward lines, alas. Our defence is an issue. The England midfield and attack is good enough to win the tournament.

I think Dunky's downbeat chat with Richard Reynolds in Sunday's post-match walkaround was about more than De Zerbi leaving. I think he's been told he's not on the plane.

Guehi isn't going to go to a tournament for the same reason Dunk hasn't gone to a tournament previously - Southgate clearly believes strongly in only taking people who're playing for clubs performing in the top 7. If Guehi was doing what he's doing at say West Ham or Villa, he'd probably be there.
WTF?
Konsa played last night and v Brazil and was bang average.
Guehi, err why?
Quansah? You’d rather take a teenage CB who has played about 4 senior matches, playing next to Virgil f***ing VanDyke, than the captain of an established EPL team now in Europe with over 400 matches in his locker? Give your head a wobble.
Oof

I know I’m in the minority on this but I think Branthwaite is one of the most overrated players in the league. He looks good defensively as he has to do a lot of it playing for a Dyche team but from what I’ve seen so far, he is terrible on the ball and offers nothing to a team who wants to play passing football.
