We all know that it is the hope that kills you but I am tempted to dream. I must be a fool. We have all been here before.

It’s more about maintaining wickets today in order to give ourselves a chance tomorrow. Once it gets down to about 4 or 5 down, it’s going to be tricky. Hopefully we can finish on 150+ today with only 2 or 3 down at worst.

Going to be on a lot more than 150 at this rate…..must be 35 overs or more left

I think that was the old mentality and frankly it didn't work because we weren't good enough at doing that. Now, we just try and get the runs as quick as we possibly can because we will probably lose wickets!

Zak Crawley b Bumrah 46 (76 balls, 7 fours) :

Pity - that was a poor leave. But he has batted beautifully. :clap2:

England 107-1

Fantastic job from the openers... Pope and Root won't know what's going on ?!

That's a shame.

Good game this.

Exchanges now have it pretty much evenly poised.

I'd be all over India if I were getting anything close to even money.

Test matches have been insanely good this summer.

If only the ICC and ECB knew what a brilliant product they had to nourish and grow
