Could England abandon VAR? Would FIFA/UEFA allow it?

That would be magnificent.

It was a worthy idea, but the long stops in play are bloody awful, let alone the incompetence from the error-strewn idiots assessing incidents.
Is there as much controversy in other countries? There doesn't seem to be?!? It's the English league that can't implement it properly which is embarrassing

Last night Ukraine were denied a pen in the last minute that would have seen them qualify
Maguire got away with a blatant foul in the box
Rico was never a pen
3 minutes to decide a clear offside

Its not just an England problem.

Questions really need to be asked about that obvious penalty Ukraine didn't get, especially given Ceferin's comments about how it would be a 'disaster' if Italy didn't qualify. Either the officials were scared to give a decision they knew wouldn't go down well with UEFA or they were paid off. Should be grounds for an investgation and a 'resignation', but with UEFA being UEFA, you can guarantee it'll never be looked into.

Officials clearly 'evened it up' after making the wrong decision yesterday, which is twice as bad as just making it the initial cock up.
