There's no way he would fly back for two days and then fly back again to Australia.

I know people who have flown to the U.S. to be in a room for TWENTY FIVE minutes and then come straight back to the airport and back home.

Pulis is as short as 5/4 to get the job, he'd certainly get the players organised. It's argued that he isn't fond of youth development, however it'll be a while until the academy starts to bear fruit so perhaps he'd have moved on by then again anyway!!!

I wouldn't mind him here.

Guilty! I had to sign a contract which had to be notarised in NYC. Crazy, but needs must.

Can I guess who this was?

I think he will go back to that list + Adkins and McDermott who weren't available then.

These two have both got failures on their cv, not sure either would fit here. We're in a bad position at the moment, we want a manager who can firstly get us out of this position and then drag us up the table, there is only one candidate with that on his cv available, but could we afford him!

Here's a hope that the first choice of the previous interviewees turned us down because of our recruitment and club management policies, and that he will now be told he can have autonomy in those departments.

Well I guess that depends on how you view our current plight. If you think being 22nd is all down to SH then I'd agree with you. If you also feel that we need new players to survive whomever the manager is then we're screwed if we take too long.

I'd also argue that we seemed to take ages over appointing SH in the first place, and look how that turned out! You could then argue you'd be better off appointing someone who's kept teams up at this level before instead of spending ages worrying about whether that person will be a yes man to the likes of Burke and Barber

Look where a yes man has got us, 22nd, we need someone who can keep us up and that is going to be a man with his own mind, this character would not sit well with the three Bs, it is in their approach of too much control that we find ourselves in our current predicament.
