dunno I'm lost
I received, as a youngster, my first alfresco nosh on Eastbourne pier.

She took her teeth out for it aswell which I thought was most considerate.

Milk teeth, or the plastic kind?

bit of an arse hat arent you? a pier on fire is an event to see whether a insurance scam or not. which it probably isnt, doesnt make alot of sence midday in July full of kids.

It's a shame you didn't pick up on the sarcasm in my comment

Sad news, it's always sad when another grand old pier goes.

Very sad for the pier to be going down. Even for all the scummers that go there I have had some great times as a kid there

Doubt it's insurance. But now their pier has gone, Hastings pier will be up and running soon and tourists will return to the sunniest place in Sussex!

It is sad. Such a lovely pier, and a lovely seafront and one of the last on the south coast. Lived almost opposite for a while and the daily view was stunning.

It's very sad. I think it's owned by the Council, really hope it gets rebuilt in some form. Although history says it's unlikely. Note to any Council who have an intact pier....improve your detection and prevention measures. Look after it or lose it.

Sad but quietly confident that it will be restored. Young Pottings highly concerned that they won't be able to go on the 2p drops there anymore and win uneccessary plastic objects. I'm glad no one was hurt.
