Yeah...I was sitting with Crabtree. Guy in front of us thought we should let all comers in and thought there was nothing wrong with it. In a game like that with a late winner all manner of things could have kicked off.

Tim I was about 6 seats along from you. I said hello to Crabbers as I passed by to get to my seat.

I don't really see the problem here. It's not an 80's thing where they are trying to "take the home end".

I took a mate with me to the game today. He's a QPR fan, but he's also my mate, am I not allowed to take him?

Gritt23 i think if he was cheering for QPR or wearing their colours i think 99% Albion fans would have a problem with that on other had if he shut his mouth and politely clapped when Albion scored 99% wouldnt be so bothered but the bottom line is the home end is for HOME fans only!

In that case you wouldn't have a problem, as he was in an England shirt, no other colours, and did not cheer the Rangers goals. Although he was a fair way out of his seat in the 90th min before he reigned himself in, but hey I can't blame him for that.

I've sat in the home end away from home myself when we have sold out the away end and tickets are going spare in the home end. I haven't felt I was doing anything wrong, as I'm putting money into the club and wouldn't be so inconsiderate to start cheering for the away side.

Behave yourself and I don't see there is a problem.

thing is at Withdean there aint supposed to be enough seats to go round for home fans so why should away fans get these seats that are supposed to be for home fans ONLY! Tell everyone that couldnt get a ticket there was an away fan occupying a seat they couldve had their bum on and see how they like that!!!!

The home end wasn't sold out FG. If you know any of these people who "couldn't get a ticket" ask them how hard they tried. They'll probably say "Well it always sells out dunnit." 'Cos if they'd actually gone to the shop, or even phoned as late as yesterday, they would have got a ticket.

We are NOT selling out the home end!!!!

Ahh, so the old Mcdonald song was the reason you got tugged outside the bookies...

;) ;) :D

Totally agree with the sentment though. Our stewards are in dire need of 'retraining'

I'm sure that if one or more of our outraged fans had made a complaint about the racist abuse to the stewards they would have done something about it. They would have HAD to. Bit of a cop-out blaming the stewards IMHO.

but they will collar 2 people for singing stand up if you want falmer, or old mcdonald had a farm, ITS JUST WRONG!!!

The club letter recently said that fans COULD temporarily stand for 'Stand up if you want Falmer'

I did so at least 4 times yesterday during the game and the stewards didn't respond.
If someone you know did get collared by a steward for doing that, then report that steward by number to the club because they are in the wrong.

Everbody harping on about racial abuse :nono: yes it is wrong and should not be done but any sort of abuse against a minority has to be classed as discriminative which means 99% of people on here should have been banned by now. How many of you can honestly sang songs about sheep shaggers or took the piss out of a female official. This is the same thing, no different, it is just seen as more discriminative because the colour of skin was mentioned. Someone has already mentioned about the amount of people taking the rise out of the oriental player for Wolves but no one piped up about it.

Don't get me wrong, I do not condone racial abuse and this fan was wrong to do so but the fact remains that nearly everybody has hurled abuse at someone who is different to ourselves.

I know i will get shot down for this and probably be called a bigot which is fine by me as I have already stated that I am not a racist or condone racism but yes I have told welsh people that they have a romantic urge to proposition sheep and have told plymouth fans where they can place their pasties.

I can see where you are coming ,from but I can't condone any abuse to any minority group, and I have never joined in any at a match, or anywhere else come to that
