Considering Snodgrass is #10 player and nothing like Stephens it doesn't put this one to bed until the window shuts

Snodgrass is a winger, how that affects the acquisition of a defensive midfielder is beyond me.

Bloom took a gamble not selling Stephens in the summer as the financial reward of promotion was greater by keeping our best players. I don't see any reason to change that ethos now.

We have strength in our midfield, but Stephens is still the best we have, so tell Burnley to go do one.
