Can't see that it would be a great career move for him. Fulham may have spent much more time in the past in the top flight, but I don't see them as a step up from us now.

Unless of course they are offering him silly money.

I would imagine that (yet another) new improved contract is currently being negotiated with Lewis Dunk, to counter the extremely generous wage offer he's no doubt been wooed with by Fulham.

This. I suspect by end of transfer window Dunk could be one of our top earners

I'm not in the know but I know a member of his family and have heard he doesn't want to move, obviously this doesn't mean he won't go if they offer stupid money/wages but it's comforting to me that should we choose not to budge, he isn't going to try and force any move and will remain professional.

Well PB has insisted that we have never had to sell anyone that we wanted to keep, unless of course that they want to go. So if this and what you have said is true, he is not going anywhere.

It will be money well spent. It's vital we keep him as part of the building process. Rea looks promising, they could become the next centre pairing.

The Dunk saga has gone beyond a simple sale of one of our better players. With no obvious suitable replacement in sight, it seems the outcome is a judgement on how ambitious we really are; either Fulham or Brighton are going to experience a major disappointment. I wouldn't be surprised if Dunk negotiates to become one of our top earners; let's hope it's enough!

I really don't get this Fulham thing! Who the F**k are Fulham? A team that massively punched above its weight for years before falling from grace. If Dunk went there, it would show zero ambition by him and his agent. If it was a half decent Premier League club bidding £4 mil, then I could understand him going/wanting to go. Can't see Fulham being serious contenders for promotion for years to come. Even if they have got new investment, they've hardly set the transfer window alight have they? Put it to bed once and for all Albion.

He only has to remind himself of those around him that have gone to "better" places have hardly covered themselves in glory. Only success is GM

Tommy Elphick?
Steve Cook?

Quite true.

£5m is a lot for Dunk and IMO wouldn't be the worst piece of business, particularly as Dallison had come on a bundle and could end up a better player, not to mention Rea.

I think this may be Dallison's breakthrough season. If we don't get an experienced CB in quickly he'll no doubt get some game time this year with injuries/suspensions to Greer and Dunk. He's also left footed which I think will compliment Greer nicely. Good passer of the ball as well, exciting prospect.

+ Barnes

He might be back in the Championship but he's played in the Prem and also been paid more money.

They've done OK, but in all probability at least one of them won't be in the first team line-up now B'muff are in the PL with Sylvain Distin signed up too.

OK? Two promotions......

Distin will be 38 in December. Both Cook and Elphick will get plenty of first team opportunities.

Not the real one
Greer says in the Argus we must keep Dunk. I don't think BHAFC would allow Greer to publicise comments like that unless they were not selling Dunk, at least not to Fulham at that price.
