Of course not alot happens in Lost in translation - It is trying to portray that feeling of being alienated and isolated in another country with no one around who understands you. I though it was FUCKIN brilliant.

I recall 'Brazil' was confusing at the end, after being enthralled and engrossed by a well-made epic that has that off-kilter gothic style of Terry Gillam. After several weeks of confounding searching and seeing it twice, it came out that the studio had foisted their own strange edit upon us, and the director had to fight to get his cut released as an optional release!

I'd like to see 'City of The Lost Children' again, as this is another psyche-provocative 'art' film. Recommended to anyone who hasn't seen it and likes this genre - plus there's a child-actress who is basically a pure natural acting genius in it, imho creating a 'raised bar' for acting kids everywhere.

'Big Fish' is a recent commercial film that is of the 'psyche' style, and pretty good (might be even more captivating after smokin' a bowl :>+)
