Following yet another home defeat yesterday, it felt that relegation was really looming as a distinct prospect.
This, of coursed added to my gloom on the way home.
However, a nights sleep and my thoughts turned to how bad would it be if we do get relegated....?
With a decent budget, (surely much higher than the average league 2 budget), a successful and winning team will draw in more full houses at Withdean than a struggling league 1 team.
Good players want to sign for teams who want to be successful (no matter what division)...not losers.
A possible promotion next season would set us up nicely for Falmer with a successful team (aka the consecutive promotions with Micky Adams mk1), and a much better guarantee of higher gates at Falmer.
Seems to me, that higher gates are more based on successful teams rather than what league we,re in...(until we reach the Premiershite of course).
What are others opinions...?
