That wasn't punk. It was just crap.

Mind you, the number of times I've heard that song from pub singers and karaoke hopefuls, the song sounds pretty crap to me whenever and wherever I hear it - one to reach for the 'off' switch every time! It's up there with Danny Boy and Sweet Caroline as songs I never want to hear again!

I think it was actually released as single (with very quickly made video) before the concert.

They did that because they realised it wouldn't work live with each member on opposite sides of the Atlantic.

See, I'm going to disagree with the second. I'm a massive Floyd/Comfortably Numb fan - but I did love what Scissor Sisters did with the track. It wasn't a bland cover but really tried to do something different with it. I fully get people hating it, but I thought it was great.

Bland covers where you just copy an excellent original, just to sell some records, are the worst in my mind.
