Heard a rumour,2nd hand from somebody, that a couple of directors disagree that Falmer is the answer now. Apparently they think we should look at Waterhall or Toads Hole.
Anyone else heard anthing similar?

probably started by a NIMBY to incite unrest amongst the club and fans, take with a pinch of salt and a dab of tabasco sauce

That's scaremongering by the NIMBY's. I don't recall ever seeing an Albion board so united over such a major issue, i.e. our future.

The only disagreement i know of is that Dick wanted prawn sandwiches and Martin wanted salmon ones, it got rather heated at one point and luckily Michel entered the room and split them up just before it came to blows.

About time there was a row.

Martin Perry has had five years to deliver the goods on a new stadium (or is it longer). He has got absolutely nowhere as far as laying bricks and the nearest possible date for a new stadium is 2011-12 season.

Blaming NIMBYs is like blaming the referee. If I had invested the money, I would be demanding answers!

Tabasco Sauce masks the taste of broken glass.

2011-2012??......Would you expand on how you came to that date?...Allowing for hicups along the way, I'd like to think we could be at Falmer by the start of 2007 season, abet in a partially completed stadium. That would be ten years after we left the Goldstone. Rather Poignant IMO. No doubt if it was Pende, we'd be able to play the Plymouth game there! And what point is infighting going to do at this stage of the game? The anti's would love that. Solidarity is what's required now. Save the bloodletting until our arses are on the seats at Falmer.

Expansion:

Result of Public Inquiry: February 2005
Fallacious Judicial review by Lewes District Council and appeal to the High Court : finished May 2006

Building three years according to an estimate on another thread (maybe two years as some preparatory work will be allowed as we wait for the Court result.)

Stadium ready for occupation late 2009, early 2010, assuming no other snags.

So this means the 2010-11 season, not as I said. But in view of the track record of what has happened before, anybody betting on it?

Optimisitic says it really should not take that long to build, just 18 months, even after moving all the earth to Pende.

So could we meet the start of the 2009-10 season? It might be then the current youngsters will have made the grade and be reaching their career peaks with the prospect of the new stadium?

Why was he there? Was he doing the cooking? :)

You're probably right, if the faeries and elves of Pende are building the stadium. Construction companies actually move a bit quicker than that. 2007-08 is the actual time, which means I've already bought my last ever ticket to a league match at Withdean with my 3-yr ST. :clap2:

Worst-case scenario, if the Falmer Nimbys somehow get leave to apply for a judicial review (a big if, but yes, possible - I doubt if Lewes will waste their council taxpayers' money flogging this dead horse but the Nimbys probably will), then 2008-9.

No i don't.
Look for the record, i only put what someone told me, my own opinion is if Falmer is the only site, then build it there, i have no personal interest where it is built, just that it is built.
If there has been any disagreement at board level, then it would never be made public knowledge anyway.
I'm like the rest of you, lets all stand united and get the thing built.
