Without Champions League football, I just don't believe that their finances are that healthy. They have a big squad currently, it may well be that they have to sell before they buy which would give us the advantage.

But two new centre backs this summer would indicate that at least two from Cashin, Igor and Webster might depart (on loan or permanent). The later would only be jettisoned for fitness reasons one would imagine but not having a settled back line is the primary reason for us missing out on Europe in my opinion. Webster's form and leadership has been outstanding but his niggling injuries are so frustrating. Our defence was generally poor this season as it seemed to change from match to match. We conceded the most goals in the top 13, 15 more than Everton!

That’s what I would do, although I think we really need another LB too (unless we see Ferdi as that).

You are assuming that a Premier League club would want him.....we've seen him play remember, he's pants, not even Championship level. Fails the sight test of ability, speed and height massively. Sorry.

Classic NSC. This from a cameo debut in a team on the ropes and a thrashing already in full swing? Most of our best players looked Championship level at best in that game.
