so at what point do we all get into a mad panic that this means JPVH is going? The curse is going to strike.

I have just had a meeting cancelled so I have a bit of time so I might spend it having a mad panic.
I would guess that Cashin goes on loan, and possibly Igor is sold. That would mean centre back options for next season would be Boscagli, Coppola, Van Hecke, Dunk, and Webster. Given that last season we ended up playing Baleba at centre back for a few games with just Cashin or youth players on the bench, it would be fair to say that upping the amount of senior centre backs in the squad is necessary. Especially as we cant guarantee the fitness of Webster or Dunk.

I hope he has a talented teammate we can scoop up at the same time, then we'd have two gentlemen of Verona.
Reminds me of the ISIHAC joke about Lionel Blair being disappointed during Give Us A Clue's Italian tour at not being allowed the use of his mouth to finish off two gentlemen of Verona.

Right about now, for me.

I'd say centre backs for next season look like

Van Hecke, Coppola, Boscagli, Dunk, Cashin
with
Igor (probably out)
Webster (possibly out - presumably wants more game time, West Ham were sniffing around)

and options if desperate
Veltman, Baleba

and watch out for Freddie Simmonds.
Would be absolutely gutted if Webster went and can’t see any logical reason for it from a football point of view. I’d genuinely rather Dunk moved on if it was a choice between the two. Webster is a better defender, better leader and three years younger. He’s another local boy, he’s a top professional, great bloke and loves it at the club.

Ideally keep them both, Webster as an active player and Dunk as a back up and for his experience and morale.

Just checked their online fan site and the general consensus is we've had their pants down price-wise and they don't want him to go. Which is a good sign. Can't help think JpVH is off though.
Think they could be right, feel miles more confident about the Coppola business than I do about Kostoulas.

Can’t guarantee the fitness of any player.

Well, it's certainly a pity that Valentin Barco has gone, but it may have been harder to find a Proteus
where has he gone? as far as i was aware hes only out on loan and the club were only posting pictures of him on international duty last week.

Not in the starting 11 for their game tonight against Moldova. Didn’t see the game but hopefully not a reflection of his performance in their hammering on Friday.

This is further confirmation for me that JPVH is off. And he also told my mate he was.

Reckon JPVH will be with us next season and likely to be captain, which will be his ‘leadership development’ before he’s sold next summer.
Coppola and Boscagli are in to play this coming season but also form part of our admired succession planning, for when JPVH leaves, IMHO.
Yep, agree.
