The facts that are known are; our Chairman was untill recently, Chairman of a company under police investigation for fraud. We are currently seeking permission to build a new football stadium and a public enquiry about it is in progress. Upon receipt of approval, funding is dependant upon handouts from various charities and funds as well as financial institutions and backers. The development partners are the local authority and an education establishment. Now how does that look to you?

Where does it say that he is guilty? It is bad enough that he and a former Director are associated with such an affair at a time when the whole club need to be whiter than white.

For christ sake, everyone throws a moody about not getting Falmer when a few idiots get involved in a fight in the town centre. This is far worse.

It's incredible, isn't it, that no one connected with this sad affair, whether it be the Sporting Options punters, Betfair, any other creditors of SO, anyone connected with Griffiths, in fact, NO ONE, has levelled any accusations whatsoever against the conduct of Dick Knight.

Dick Knight has put out a statement defining his links with SO which no party involved in this affair has contradicted.

Yet the one place where people are building wild supposition upon muckraking supposition is on NSC.

You would think that Albion fans should be the one part of the Sussex community that Dick Knight could turn to get some backing and support in what those close to him have been honest enough to admit has been an embarrassing episode.

After all the things that Dick Knight has done for the fans of this club over the last decade

... good post, LI, but... IF fraud is proved, then, by association, Dick Knights reputation will suffer, whether you or I like it or not... and, by extension, the club's efforts to obtain funds for Falmer will be hampered...

Not only that, but any monies supplied to the club by KG may have to be repaid to meet SO's debts...

I know we don't know the full facts, but this MAY turn out to be a big problem for the club, and I am NOT anti-DK... just saying I'm worried, that's all...

To be fair, and i'm not saying I agree with some of the 'doom-mongers', he was, until earlier this year, Chairman of SO.
I'm sure he will found to be in the clear, but he will be investigated.

Where he has gone wrong is trying to justify his actions to the media, thats the dregs of society who write what they think you were saying not what you actually said, and thus exposing himself to more critisiscm. He would have done better to have said ' the firm is being investigated and until the result of this investigation is forthcoming I have no comment to make'.

Incidentally on this issue I believe it will be proved that he was not guilty of any wrong doing.

I still know which of the two Knights I would rather see go!!
