Didn't think much of the new album first time round but have played it a few times now and its growing better each time I listen to it.

WRONG is genius

DM are so underated because most people only remember the TOTPs image but they were so much better than that.

DM are superb 95% of the stuff they wrote/write is perfect is so many ways.

I still can't get into it. I think what is special about DM is that they are underated. Its stops them from becoming commercial. May be when I see them live it may grow on me

Yep. Know what you mean. They are one of those bands that fans feel that they are a part of because they're not automatically popular. You have to go out your way to "get" DM.

Saying that, the new album is a grower. It's certainly not their best but it's still good. Really looking forward to seeing them in December.

Hope, hope, hope they do stuff like "Condemnation", "Useless", "Blasphemous Rumours", "Somebody".

I absolutely adore DM. Very few bands have affected me like DM. New Order, Nick Cave, Squeeze, Leonard Cohen.... DM have been with me since I can remember and are special. Stick with it, CV.

Haven't liked anything they have done since 'Ultra'.

'Music for the Masses' best for me (with bonus tracks) - near enough only DM album not to suffer the usual 'three or four outstanding songs surrounded by some distinctly average filler'

Oh I will. I stuck with Playing the Angel and think its ok now. I just think the new album lacks a bit of that dark eroticism.

I've never seen them live before but rate 101 as one of the great live albums. Got tickets for the Pet Shop Boys too and I know they will be good but DM are gonna be awesome. I just know it.

They're on Later in an hour - although I wouldn't get too excited based on Tuesday's show. They need an audience.

New album isn't growing on me much. Some of the bonus tracks are better - particularly, Light and Oh Well.

Listen to the synth score on the track after Wrong (i think its Fragile Tension) its really good and the lyrics on Jezebel.

The trouble is when you play their latest stuff you think its will be in the same class as SGR but that album was one brilliant track after another.

Take a look at the discography on depeche mode dot com.

Theres only a few bands that could produce so many good songs with genius music and lyrics
