We're with Ovo and have a 30-minute smart meter, so should be part of this scheme, but haven't heard anything from Ovo to say that we are.

Anyone else with Ovo know if its automatic?

I don't think so - I think they ran trials.

I was thinking I never received any emails etc. but then I see in the second tweet you need to have been opted into marketing, which I'm not!

Tried to do it but turns out British Gas is by invite only.

We're with BG, also no invite. I wonder if they're prioritising those with high usage; there's just two of us. Why is it a limited scheme? Surely any savings are better than none?

It's a very new system (only used "for real" for the first time yesterday). It's basically still going through validation that everything works as expected, and therefore using a limited number of people. Risk management - if it all goes pear shaped for any reason, it affects fewer people (and only those who explicitly said they wanted to take part).
