For what it's worth I had it a draw, but I wouldn't have argued with a round or two either way.

There will obviously be a rematch now but I suspect they will be allowed to go their seperate ways for a while in the hope that both of them will move into higher class and thus make any rematch a bigger deal.

Just watched it again and also watched the build up. Right result and Degale lucky not to have a point off for that elbow early on. Adam Booth talked very well afterwards about both fighters concentrating on working on the negative aspects rather than crowing about the victory. This will now be a test of character for Degale he has made himself look a twat before and after the fight, why didn't he have the balls to shake Groves hand and acknowledge defeat? if he doesn't have a rethink he will end up another Joe Bugner in the eyes of the public

Groves Vs De Gale full fight and excellent quality is now on You Tube.

Interesting and intriguing fight. Very close I had it 115-114 De Gale but you could make an argument either way as a lot of the rounds were very close.

Groves used movement and counter punched well to frustrate De Gale. Considering they only had 22 fights between them and neither had been twelve rounds before (I think) the quality of boxing was high and both have a good future in the sport.

My only concern before the fight was that they were both two excellent prospects and a conclusive and damaging defeat could be really difficult for one of them to come back from. Thankfully it wasn't a gruelling fight and both can come back and go on to better things.
