Its DODD not DODDS!!!!!

Anyway, I really don\'t care if he is fit or not, he\'s too slow to play full back at this level. His experience could be invaluable on the training pitch, but on the pitch he just won\'t be of any use. Besides how many games will it take him to get back to match fitness after being out for so long? It\'d be a risk playing him when he\'s fully fit, but if he\'s in the team and still trying to get fitness he will be skinned for fun

We are being pedantic aren't we!

DODD is an experienced player who has always in the past and will in the future overcome his lack of speed by his knowledge and positional play.

I took a team over to France once to play in a tournament and one of the teams that we played had 3 central defenders who had all at some time been player of the year in France with either PSG St Ettienne or similar. The youngest was 59 the eldest 64 they were absolutly brilliant my boys of average age 22 or 23 stood in awe of them as they didnt run100 yds each in total during the whole game. They relied on knowledge and knowing exactly where the ball was going to go and then being there to meet it.

On a somewhat slightly less scale that is what Jason DODD would do as a leftback for us.

Its like Kitson - how is it his fault he gets an injury.

But he had about 15 different injuries that season (i believe broken toenail was the one that finished him off)
