I was decidedly underwhelmed with him when he was fighting fit ???

its quite funny tho.

The first 15 times, maybe. People rant and rave about signing players but completely ignore signing on fees, agents fees, relocation fees, goal bonuses, appearance bonuses and the thousand other incidental costs involved in signing/releasing a player. The ignorance would do my head in if I were a manager/chairman.

In defence of MM and signing Dodds. He is an experienced defender who MM obviously didnt expect to have all these injury problems as was Simon Morgan when we signed him from Fulham. Simon Morgan had a history of not being able to train between matches so much so that we actully signed him1 year later than we wanted because of it. He eventually finished up just playing matches and not training or being able to play 2 matches ina week, because he couldnt and look what a great asset to us he was. If Jason Dodds could do the same we would be in heaven. As players get older it takes longer to get over injuries and it is a chance that you take when signing them.

Having Jason Dodds and Hinsh back will be like signing 2 new players for us the probl;em is will it be too late.

The facts speak for themselves, it's lack of goals that will relegate us, not the lack of clean sheets.

McGhee will stand or fall by his ability to find that elusive goalscorer because fans are getting fed up of watching us draw blank after blank.
I think you will find we also have a poor defensive record, one of the poorest.

Jason Dodd will be an asset if he gets fit, he is a classy player, vastly experienced especially in relegation battles with Southampton, and he is a LEADER.
I will be extremely pleased to see him back in the team, especially if it's at LEFT BACK.

More so at the start of the season.

How many of the games where Brighton took the lead would they have held onto last year and won 1-0?

He was only ever a cheap reserve in case one of our players got a long term injury. Can he play Charlie Oatway's role?

Why? Is he a shit footballer like Oatway? :lolol:

If Magoo is interested in team spirit, he should have kept DC, or taken him back when he left Sheffield Utd. Also, FDM is part of that old "spine" of our team, and look what shit he is getting from Magoo. :nono:

Its DODD not DODDS!!!!!

Anyway, I really don\'t care if he is fit or not, he\'s too slow to play full back at this level. His experience could be invaluable on the training pitch, but on the pitch he just won\'t be of any use. Besides how many games will it take him to get back to match fitness after being out for so long? It\'d be a risk playing him when he\'s fully fit, but if he\'s in the team and still trying to get fitness he will be skinned for fun

1-0 vs Ipswich ended 1-1, 1-0 up vs Crewe ended up 2-2, 1-0 up vs Wolves ended up 1-1.

That's 6 more points right there.

Cullip would probably have gone in the summer on a free. If you seriously think that we should have taken him back then you really are looking to attack Mark McGhee in any way you can think of. He has hardly played for Forest due to injury. Looking back, getting £250k for Cullip was a great bit of business.

i got the impression Cullip was a bully anyway, not a good influence in the dressing room.

I suggest you look at the table again. Our goal difference is the 3rd worst in the division, and only 2 goals better than Millwall's. So no, our goal difference is complete shite. We've scored 30 in 32 games, but conceded 49.

Sorry should have made it clear that the teams just above us have a vastly superior goal difference which means that effectively we have to gain an extra point to overtake them.
