Couldn't see anywhere else, if fixtures..well screw you all :p

Noticed a snippet beside the Southampton match report in one of the Sunday papers today (can't recall which, was one of the tabloids) saying SFC were disappointed to lose their Scouting & Recruitment Manager David Burke, who's supposedly leaving to join "south coast rivals" Brighton.

Presumably, if true, this is someone to fill the role vacated by John Stephenson. Only joined Saints in 2010 from Man City.

Interesting (well I thought so).

Always pleasing to get one over on Southampton, who to be fair have recruited well. Bodes well. Formally a scout for Manchester City.

No official confirmation, I should add, but the tone of the article was pretty much that it was a done deal.

He must be attracted by the prospect of building an acadamy from the ground up, literally if he gets a spade out and goes down Lancing.

saaf of the water
I just hope he stays around longer than he's been at most of his other jobs.

I bet Gus is pretty hard to work for. (That's just a guess and not based on anything I actually know!!)
