What makes that a good CV? I would rather see a list of the players he had been involved in recruiting for his employers rather than just the positions he held.

You wouldn't put that much detail on your CV though, so it's simply a good basic CV. Two years at Fulham (prem) setting up a scouting department then Manchester City (moneybags Prem) come in for him to look at youngster for them then put in charge of recruitment at Southampton. All promotions at proper clubs.

An opportunity to build an Academy from the ground up and a promotion. At Saints he was chief scout, here he will be Head of Football Operations, and I expect with a whacking big salary rise. It's not that fishy is it?

He's going from being our scout, to a higher ranked job at another club. We have Les Reed in his role and i'm sure we will have a replacement lined up for when he leaves.
