I love the way noone is really contemplating it being a NO. Whilst I don't want it to happen, and don't think it will, it would certainly spice things up a bit!!

Spice things up a bit? I did give you some credit for intelligence albeit I disagreed with your opinions.

It would be the end of BHAFC - not something I could really contemplate

Yes, sorry, I was only messing about. I know we often disagree but I do think we usually have a debate with some intelligence on both sides. My last comment was just a bit stupid! What I was trying to say, although in a totally unsuitable way, was what the hell do you think we would do if it was a NO?

Appeal. We haven't broken any planning laws.

Would we have the money to do that though?

We'd have to or give up the ghost. There wouldn't be any alternative because my opinion is that we'd have a great deal of difficulty getting planning permission anywhere else especially at Sheepcote Valley which has more going for it than the Falmer site.

Assuming there is some sense left in this country, and that luddites do not thrive on keeping Brighton in the dark ages, gives me confidence that a correct decision to allow the Falmer Stadium should be granted.
Assumptions are undermined by doubts, only because good sense does not always prevail.

I have heard it a few times - there is no plan B.

I have heard it a few times - there is no plan B.

The club were always going Falmer or bust, however the site does stack up as acceptable as opposed to the others.

Announcing there was would undermine the Falmer case though. Surely we are not stupid enough to have not even considered the thought that Falmer can be turned down, and have some idea of what to do if it is. To be perfectly honest, there would have to be a bit of a boardroom shake-up if it was a No. I mean having failed to get Falmer, what more would Knight and Perry have to offer? They may remain on the board, but just to give the fans some hope there would have to be a change of figurehead.

Anyway, this is being unnecessarily pessimistic, as I'm 99% certain that we will be celebrating on Tuesday or Wednesday morning.

About the last bit, I'm in agreement and I think a lot of us share varying percentages of optimism.

As for any plan B, I can't see how the club WOULD have any such thing - apart from simply staying at Withdean for a few months ...until the club can be wound up and all players allocated other clubs and bankruptcy declared. We would, for one more season probably die a high-profiled death. Much of the town and even many of the fans might shrug and say "well it was going that way, the club lived on a shoestring and was losing money what else was going to happen under the circumstance?" and the shots that Archer and Bellotti fired into the Albion would finally see the wound open wide and the club bleed out completely to death.
The result would see Brighton turn into a provincial has-been shell, with kids glomming onto Prem clubs as 'their team', lowering pride (even with the city's main asset being loads of proud homos) and more boring shopping on a Saturday afternoon and a stroll down the front to look at the other proud Brighton 'City' asset disintegrating into the sea for centuries. That's plan 'B' I think you'd find.

On a pessemistic note, I wonder what will happen if there is a NO.

Would we actually go for a jusicial review as we have supposedly followed all the planning guidlines ( as explained by Ed so well) or would we go back to B&H Authority with a "where next?" request, as it was B&H who suggested falmer in the first place?

Of course, it will be a Yes, but we have been let down before.
