I've been on the lookout for an old steel bike to do up over winter....makes me even more determined after seeing Neds one.

Went on Planet X for the first time in ages yesterday, and grabbed a few bargains. Picked up a Cofidis jersey for just a tenner too....had to be done for that price.
There is a high-end wheel builder in my village; I occasionally run by the 'workshop' (his shed) when I do 5k runs. This wheelbuilder offers wheels with string spokes - something that started out as a hill climb thing, but they seem to be something that could become a little more mainstream...

Ooh good shout - picked up a couple of old team Nalini tops too - great value - these are good quality bits of kit - I've still got an unworn Fassa Bortolo Nailini top I picked up 17 years ago - was hoping it was worth something but guessing not if Planet X are selling off similar vintage tops for a tenner
Nearer t'other end of the pay scale if you're keen on retro classics www.prendas.co.uk are worth a look.
Cracking couple of blokes too.

Picked up 2 sets of arm warmers, and a set of leg warmers last week cheap...thought I would be prepared for the arrival of Autumn in the next couple of months or so.
