Blackburn will be very strong, Paul Robinson is the best goalkeeper in the Championship by an absolute mile, and their whole spine looks pretty solid. Dann, Murphy and Best through the heart of the team should be very effective at this level.

I think people are forgetting we have a goalkeeper who was Manchester Uniteds number 2 for 3/4 years, played in the Champions League, won multiple amount of trophies and turned down a few premier league clubs to join us, surely we've got a contender for one of the best??

Oh we do have a contender, however I'd have to agree that Robinson would be the best overall goalkeeper. He has consistently been a decent goalkeeper in the Prem for a good number of years.

Blackburn are giving this a right go aren't they?

Nuno Gomes, Leon Best and Simon Cox as a strike force for the championship looks EPIC.

Danny Murphy just keeping it ticking over in midfield. The Venkys may will win back some fans.

Danny Murphy would be a good addition for anybody in the championship, he started over 40 games last year, got a few assists and managed some goals too.

But by a mile, I'm not so sure.

I would bet my house on him leaving before the season starts.

He was in the top 5 keepers in the prem in my opinion. Brilliant keeper behind a WOEFUL defence.

I would agree with you but you are forgetting 1 thing. They are still managed by Steve Kean.

I would still put Robinson ahead of him, but Kuszczak is a top quality Championship goalkeeper. Easily the second best and would be THE best if he wasn't 3rd choice at United for the last few years. He hasn't been their second choice for quite a while now, Van Der Sar was easily the first choice and Ben Foster was second choice and for the last 18 months it has been Lindegaard behind De Gea. I'm not knocking our PIG, but he's not played enough to warrant being called THE best. Robinson has been a consistently top performing goalkeeper in the Premier League for the last decade, or best part of.

Very true. He's going to have to redefine the term "useless manager" for Blackburn not to do well this season.

I think he's capable of achieving that TBH...

I agree with the above, Blackburn will be very strong, Best and Gomez up top and Danny Murphy will be quality in the Championship, the manager lets them down a bit though!

But we are a championship club, not premier league. If we signed premier league players, we would go the way of Portsmouth pretty quickly.

But Poyet has said he wants to build a team for the Premiership. You don\t want to go up then have to have wholesale changes.

If you think the balding, northern, thick as shit buffoon at Huddersfield is 1% of the manager that our sophisticated, intelligent, sexy Uruguyan is I've got to question your sanity. I agree with the rest though.

Is Simon Grayson 'balding'?

Agree with the rest, mind.

My position at The Amex is ideal for totally irrelevant observations such as this, and I clearly remember turning to my dad last season and saying "Jesus, look at the size of that bald spot" when Grayson emerged at the Leeds match. It was MASSIVE, the size of a small dinner plate. I then looked at him on TV the next week and you don't notice it at all, because when they interview him it's obviously from the front and he still has hair there. But get a rear view and he's losing it big time. I promise.

I'll take your word for it!

I think Blackburn are going to struggle to get promoted. Yes they have made signings and Robinson is a good keeper but just remember that Steve Kean is absolutely rubbish. He will get sacked by Christmas as the Venky's will expect them to be top of the table just can't see it happening. Oh and PIG will be the best keeper in the the league.
