I'm afraid I'm struggling to find the required 'oomph' to have a serious debate about a dour Scotsman who specialises in doing quite well in a sport I have no interest in.

He is actually coming across as a very decent young Man recently. His support of his friend with Cancer is quite touching. He is dour on the court as that is what makes him a WINNER !

The commentary team had a stinker though, pronouncing this to be her best ever Wimbledon. How about doing your homework and discovering that she was a SEMI FINALIST only a few years ago... Poor attention to detail, and exactly why they were on a low interest court.

I have no interest in tennis, dull sport. I have no interest in Andy Murray, dull man. However from what I have seen he goes to pains to dis-associate himself from England.

No but he has gone all out for him including raising loads of money for the Hospital he was at.

Why come wading into a Tennis thread to basically write the entire sport off? Personally, I think cricket is pointless rubbish but when the Sussex CCC threads come up I've perfected the art of leaving them alone. Give it a go. You don't like tennis, fine. Don't spoil this thread by banging on about how you don't like it when people are coming here to talk with likeminded folks.

Just to confirm, I have nothing against your opinion or how you've put it across. Naturally, certain people come out to get frictious (if that isn't a word, it should be), but I don't feel a need to launch a hatchet job on your character for a disliking of the sport.
