Like most workers - but they’re not farmers really just workers.
Bit harsh, tenant farmer's who had rented the land for decades.
Maybe farming is in the blood for some.
All I knew it looked bloody hard work and I can guarantee they didn't own anything nice, every penny was reinvested back into the business which sadly went pop a couple of years ago.

But they’re not farmers. They’re farm workers or just tenants. They don’t own the farms. Clarkson is a rich ass
Don’t talk to me about farmers and being ignorant. I have a lot of personal experience of the people who have to work for farmers. They’re treated worse than any other form of workers.

If you know so much about farmers you would know that tenants ARE farmers.

Landowners and farmers are not necessarily the same thing. The biggest owners of farmland are the Church, National Trust, the Crown, Dyson and numerous dukes and Lords (eg Goodwood and Arundel estates locally) and pension funds. All this land (bar Dyson’s) is farmed by tenants who pay rent.

No one HAS to work for farmers, they choose to do so and there are good and well paid careers in farming. In most people’s eyes whether one is the owner of the farming business or is employed by it, you are a respected as a farmer.

Your last statement is bullshit.

Your posts are ignorant.

Perhaps try and have a little knowledge unlike the Government who have none.

I'll help you.

Thoroughly enjoyed it all.

Amazing he had a loss of 25,000 after all that work.

However the business are doing very very well in their other usage as film sets.

Does anyone remember where this all started ? Clarkson blew up the old farm house for a scene in the Grand Tour.

Everything since then has been a performance.

Whilst I liked the season I could see it being a new spin off show of its own 'Clarkson's pub'. The last few episodes didn't show as much of the farming aspect. Thinking back to the first season or so, when he was trying growing chillis, mushrooms, wasabi , doing the rewilding etc.

Those two women who "helped" him set up the pub looked to be absolutely clueless, spending money without a second thought and bailing before launch.

Fox's mill around killing farmer's live stock - so it is important to keep in control of them.
Lambs don’t go out until they are large enough to fend for themselves and chickens are locked in a coop.

Dont try to defend ripping a fox apart with dogs.

Shooting them is humane. Fox hunting is bloodlust.
You're right but just pulling you up on one thing lambs are normally born in the field. Foxes do take them. We used to put our friendly ram in the field as he would scare off any foxes. We also tarred our lambs with hoof tar, a little spot on the back of the neck. Foxes hate it.

Here's our ram with some of his family enjoying his laid back nature

Oh and a goat doing what they do best ESCAPE!

dyson owns thousands of acres to swerve IHT, it's not so unusual
Tom Jones also owns a farm. So yes, It's Not Unusual.

AI Overview

Yes, Tom Jones (the singer) owns a farm. He owns and operates Trelay Farm, a 100-year-old dairy farm in north Cornwall, which he runs with his family.

Apparently quite a few farms are putting llamas in with the sheep now, to ward off the foxes.

Yes or an old pony.

Horses or ponies are good insomuch if a sheep manages to lay on its back (beached) due to their square hips, a horse will go over and nudge it back over.
