This statement is freely available, well not free because it is a premium rate phone call, for all to hear, If what they are saying isnt true do the club not have a responsibility to the fans to make it known that what they are saying isnt true, and in the absence of the clubs statement, can we not assume that what they are saying is a correct version of events.
I am not doubting the statement was made.

However, you are working on an assumption that it is true. If it isn't, why should the club respond to what amounts to a pile of horseshit? An absence of a club statement means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING regarding the validity of CKR's 'advisors' statement. If there is truth in the statement, then the club are responding appropriately.

Of course, you may want to see this played out publicly. Personally, I would rather they settled it amicably, privately and quickly.

Yeah but unlike other player's CKR is only hear because of fans entering a competition to win his contract. So as he is the fans player maybe we deserve to know what's going on! Or maybe we should just go on the princible that we're just here to spend our money on things like that but we have no right to know what's happening to our investment?
But what is it you want to know? CKR's problem? McGhee's problem? Not for me, nein danke. I want to know that these two have kisssed and made-up. Aside from that, it's not my business, it's not your business, it's not anyone's business except for the parties directly involved. Fans are only indirectly involved.

There are screams on here when someone from the club says something out of order about someone else at the club, and it's especially damaging when some of it isn't true.

I am not saying sweep it under the carpet - far from it - but I am saying keep it discrete, keep it as civilised as possible, and let's get the right result. Keep the mud-slinging to the WWF and the News of the World.

I do not care as long as at the end of the day the club, the team and the supporters benefit not 1 persons ego.

I would have thought that if as you say the statement may be a load of b....cks in which case I would have expected the club to jump on it and say so to help them proove a point.

To what end? Humiliate the fella? That would have him running back pledging loyalty to the club wouldn't it?

Jesus.

Humiliate whom MM or CKR. If you mean CKR do the club care they have openly said they will sell him at the right price so in effect his career here is finished unless there are some drastic changes in attitude but from whom I dont know do you?

Take what we can get for CKR - he's not interested in playing for us and has a crap attitde and an over inflated ego.

We are supposed to already have money for a striker, so add CKR's fee plus wages to that amount and get in a forward and a left back.

BTW drop Hammond as well.

What I want to know is, what is going so wrong that one of the more skillful players at the club feels something is so bad that he can't play for us again when we are crying out for a striker? And yes I do consider it my buisness when I'll be paying for a ticket, but being denied the chance to see CKR play because of an internal dispute.

This is just the BEST thread we've had on NSC for ages. This is what NSC used to be all about - loads of rumours, heresay and conjecture. So far we've sacked MM, the coaching staff and CKR and we've brought in a new manager who will build his entire team around CKR - but will sack him as soon as he steps out of line again.

And what's all this based on? A story on a premium rate phone line, some dark suggestions from some people 'in the know' and Mr Jam - who 'knows', but won't say.

This is so much better than getting involved in our 'on the pitch' problems. This is something that everyone can contribute to with the absolute certainty that they cannot be proven wrong - because nobody has any idea what's happening.

This is why I just love NSC - nobody does this sort of stuff like we do.

I think that sums it up perfectly. I think people are also especially concerned if the problem that Colin wants resolved is anything like the problem he encountered at Bury. I'd like to think that if there was anything like that going on McGee and Knight would stamp on it sharpish.

And talking about egos, I can think of someone else with a rather large one too.

Perhaps they have, and that might actually be the problem, but like I said, who knows?

What the resolution is and who comes out of it well is, I believe it can be argued, our business. Exactly what the problem is and how it's resolved is not. Unless, of course, you are equally happy for Dick Knight or maybe some of your clients to know exactly how internal disputes are handled at your firm.

Sorry - still in Rhodes. The honest truth is taht i'm not able to say much for legal reasons... i wish i could. I was hoping all would have coke out by now but i suspect it's getting more and more unlikely to enable all to save face... and i'll end up looking like a big tease! I'll have to live with that i suppose...

I just hope it's resolved very very soon.
