Xmas eve - but I always ruin Xmas day because I'm hanging so much (this year I will NOT get too drunk).

Boxing Day is a great day as well.

NYE - not fussed. It's ok.

NYD - Well it's a day off...

Xmas eve.

Once it hits 12 on Xmas eve, people are still excited about the next day. On NYE, it dawns on people that people have to start doing stuff like 'resolutions' and 'sobering up'.

New Years Eve for me, a good night out and all anyone wants is a " Happy New Year!" and a hand shake.
Christmas is so commercialised and nothing to do with religion any more, people just want things.
Everyone somehow becomes a christian at Christmas, which I find so hypocritical.
I am not religious and will not pretend to be.
My children get gifts and even though I would rather give them on NYE, to celebrate the New Year, her in doors insists on giving them at Christmas, to which my reply is that they are really early 'New Year gifts'.
I am not a Scrooge by any means as the gifts are always quality.
My wife fills out the cards to send and I just write 'Happy New Year' above my name.
So it will continue, till I have a vision or something like that, making me believe otherwise.
I don't use it as an excuse to get drunk as I was going to do that anyway.
I always have a foodie treat at least once or twice a week, so nothing changes there.
I am always considerate and charitable all year, not just for a short period, so nothing changes there either.
Being self employed I don't get paid holidays, but I have been self employed since 1989, so I am used to it.
So finally I was you all 'A HAPPY NEW YEAR!'

Christmas by far, I've never been a huge fan of new year's eve.

Christmas. Big family meet-up and over indulgence. New-year, more bloody fireworks.

New Year's eve in a local boozer is ok, but so are most Fridays and Saturdays in a local boozer, so Christmas for me. Besides, New Year's eve is a whole week closer to going back to work.

New Years eve is absolute Dog Poo. I have been in bed before 11 pm the last few years.
