There is still some questions about existance and why we are here that scientists cant answer
Why is there something and not nothing?
If this was all due to a big bang that came out of nothing, How can that be possible?

That’s like me accusing you of being an abuser because you’re human? Or a hooligan because you like football? We all belong to groups, and there’s rot in everyone of them. The what aboutery line of argument is endless, and is best filed under boring insulting ignorant and/or sweeping…a bit like your reply! ;)
Bearing in mind you know f*** all about my first hand relationship with the Catholic Church, you are the ignorant one here.

God made the big bang happen, but then where did God come from?

Perhaps a conscious entity, the one credible form of unifying the infinite realm of possibilities into one single reality, is the only possible way that the coherent universe can exist... So it does.

Thats a reasonable answer, and one when we all end our existance on planet Earth, most of us who have enjoyed it here, or others who didn't would hope for a better time in the next world.
Or we are just food for insects

If you are born in Ireland you will be Catholic, if you are born in Saudi Arabia you will be Moslem, if you are born in Israel you will be Jewish and if you were born in Scandinavia in the 10th century you would believe in one of the Norse gods.

Once you realise religion is the result of when and where you were born and has very little to do with faith or belief all of the power and mysticism it has just evaporates. This is not rocket science

Perhaps it was the Flying Spaghetti Monster created it with his noodly appendage.

The front door is open, yet some posters are still trying to work out how to climb over the fence and wriggle through the slightly open toilet window to get in. Or (in one or two cases) having got in without realizing, trying to work out how to climb out of the toilet window while their head is jammed down the lavvy.

God, eh? Bing bang and that.

let it go.gif

'Why' is a legal or theological question.

As a biologist I see no purpose. If living things evolve things that provide advantage, then advantage is had. And the ones that count most are those that favour survival and the opportunity to reproduce. A third eye? Nope.

As for the big bang, my guess, for what it is worth, which is nothing, is that it happens after a big collapse, and the cycle has gone on for ever. Bang, collapse, bang, collapse. All it needs is the existence of large amounts of matter. Do we have that? Open your eyes!

All the best, Dan

Everyone on here believes in good and evil, but who/what set the standard? And nobody on here is perfect, but why not?
It's a sliding scale, with various pinch points.

'Perfect' is a moot concept. Pacifism is not useful in times of war, but bellicosity is not useful in times of peace.

Or are they? ???

My soundbite is that it is impossible to reduce the complexity of humanity into soundbites.
