Not going to happen, club can't cook them at the stadium and street vendors for food have been banned from I think at least 1 mile around the ground so no burger / chip vans rolling up at the ground.

I hope so as those of us who may even like chips, ordinarily, certainly do not want to have them in the concourses of the Amex., that because they stink the place out, and I truly hope the club will never change their stance on this.

If the club ever decided to franchise any specific person to sell chips on the outside of the stadium (hopefully unlikely), then I trust that the club would rigidly enforce prohibition of taking them into the stadium. (As I hope they will about peops. taking hot food on to the stands, potentially covered in ketchup or whatever, with the near certainty of others being covered in such substances, which would not be unlikely in the event of an Albion Goal.

Sorry to be a party pooper, this one I am going to put on ask the club !

Prawn sandwiches next on the concourse!! Curry stinks!! Seems Fish and Chips is more in keeping than Crispy Chilli Noodles and Thai Curry, and as its an English Symbol and Especially in Brighton, Local caught Fish and Chips for a Fiver sounds great. Chips for the kids to share and maybe some for dad to pinch aswell!!

Could the club not operate a large caravan burger/chip stall, similar to that used at Withdean North Stand, but with more attention to Health & Hygeine, outside of the stadium on the 2 approaches or would that bite into the sales and profits on the concourses.

Chips attract chavs, so no chips at the AmEx.
Simple. Why attract chavs to the AmEx?
Chavs only deserve KFC, there are plenty in the Citeeee Centre for scumbag hoodies and tracksiutees and all time twats.
Basically they are scumbags and should be barred from at least FIVE miles from our special stadium on matchdays.
Oh, and all benefits withdrawn immediatly and put in labour camps because they are worthless. Either that or just push off them Beachy Head blindfolded: at least that might be teach them a lesson and it's cheaper.

They are French fries nowadays. Just like chips but a bit more cool. Not really bothered about FF to be honest but w few more poseur tables in the WSL to put ones pint whilst one is reading ones programme would not go amisss.

On a more serious point, I expalined to my wife that the more I drank the more I saved, which she seemed to understand. Scary!

Am i alone in wanting some Chips at The Amex??

... a large caravan burger/chip stall, similar to that used at Withdean North Stand
Are you MAD? The North Stand burger van was a disgusting place, serving terrible "food". The South Stand vans, in contrast, were actually quite good. The difference in catering standards was a major factor in keeping me renewing my season ticket on the wet side of Withdean for so many years.

It's too late to be bothered now, but I could never understand why North Standers tolerated the outside catering on their side of the ground.

The other thing that the South Stand caterers could do much better was process very long queues quickly and efficiently.

not bothered but kids love them.

Thats probably one of the reasons they dont sell them at the Amex, Why have loads of kids eating chips when there's more profit to be had selling them burgers and hotdogs.
