Agreed but didn't it go out of play for a corner? Its hit his head, never a penalty.

Exactly..he should have been off..who knows how the game would have panned out afterwards. Milner v soft pen but think he should have left it for Steele to deal with. Very frustrating to have so much possession for 60 mins with very little to show for it. None of this detracts from the fact that Chelsea are the most objectionable club in the league though.Maybe not corruption - but explain why Caicedo didn't get one of two blatant second yellows.
Clearly is when he didn't give a corner. Clearly is when he doesn't give Caicedo a 2nd yellow with 2 dodgy tackle, 1 from behind. Clearly it's when they get a penalty and we don't with virtually any difference, although neither should have been given. I could probably go on. If there was only 1 big iffy decision you'd say fair enough but really. Are we really going to be one of those teams with embarrassing fans that scream corruption when things don't go our way
Was the reffing bad today? Can't think of much wrong with it, and we got a lot of fouls given for us that i didn't expect. What a bizarre game.
A lot to think about.
Another game where refereeing was all over the shop and completely determined the result.
Being on the wrong side of it this time, we have every right to feel aggrieved.
The refereeing in this country is an absolute joke. More often than not the drama is with the erratic refereeing, rather than the game of football itself.
Wouldn't say we deserved to win... Or lose... Who knows what the result would have been if we had reliable refereeing in the PL.
No because any decision changed after VAR results in a drop ballAgreed but didn't it go out of play for a corner?
Yeah, definitely agree that Caicedo should've walked but refs are so hesitant to send off multiple players.Maybe not corruption - but explain why Caicedo didn't get one of two blatant second yellows.
Yep hats off for that. However - I do think Chelsea defended quite well.
it’s the laws of the gameClearly is when he didn't give a corner.
There are about 5 people who post on NSC who do that.
For the rest of us we shrug and move on![]()
Eh? That is the rule I believe, how is it corruption?WTF. its either a pen or corner. If u Believe what you posted then you must be a corrupt ref like the rest.
Like car crime in a multistory car park?I shrugged . . .now I'm moving on . . .
I still think VAR should be binned. Its just wrong on every level.
That’s definitely the attitude. f*** Chelsea anyway.Better to win one lose one than draw to many anywaywin next week lads.
Ok thanksAs the game stopped at the awarding of the pen. It restarts with a drop ball
The game stops at the penalty incident, in this case the "handball" by Levi. As the game has stopped what happened to the ball after it hit Colwill is no longer relevant. Once the ref over-turns his penalty decision (not that anyone seems to have seen him give it, but that is another argument all together) then the game has to re-start with a drop ball.No thats wrong surley.
I think it's the best, and most competitive top flight league. But the current referees are atrocious and shouldn't be anywhere near this league.I sometimes find it comical when people say the Premier League is the "best league in the world" when the refereeing is so, so bad.
Apparently if VAR overturn a refs onfield decision the game has to be restarted with a drop ball so although he gave the penalty after the ball had gone off the pitch we couldn't get the corner. So the ref f***ed us over with his shit penalty call! Sometimes you just cant get a break...Didn’t see the incident properly. Did the ref award a penalty and then VAR overturn it? If so, did the ref really award the penalty quickly enough that the ball hadn’t gone out for a corner by the time he blew his whistle?
If the above is how it happened, I get that the rules have been followed properly but still it seems massively unfair to not get the corner.
