The way things are going we are more likely to play Barnet next season.

Charlton, and Southampton would be two good clubs to get relegated from an Albion point of view.

At Charlton the away end is class. Went there when Darren Bent put Charlton 2-0 up, and waving a "2-0" finger gesture - muppet. We went onto win 3-2 :).

BBC match report is wrong, then!

"Nathan Ellington's last-gasp equaliser denied Charlton their first win in 12 games and ensured they remain bottom of the Championship table."

Odd, I just saw on skysports that they are joint on points with Forest and Doncaster, but Charlton are second to bottom.

It's been way too long since we were last there & we had some cracking games. i remember us losing 4-3 in a night game and also a 4-0 away win when Ronnie Howell scored a hatrick, and he didn't score many.

And, one for dazo, One New years day I went up to london & saw Arsenal V Tottenham (Archibald, Crooks & Co) then straight to the valley to see us win 1-0. I just did it 'cos i fancied seeing 2 games in a day.

You could do that back then, turn up & pay on the gate and afford 2 games too. See, old football IS better!

Put to good use when The Who played there in '74 and '76

Yes, it had the biggest capacity for a league ground for many years.

The 1st time I was there, and it was a fairly small crowd, i walked asfar up that terrace as you could go. There were still more steps fenced off as 'unsafe'.

It was much the same behind one goal, yet they had, by then, sold off part of the area and flats were there. The fully opened ground must have been massive.
